Closer view of the two terraces off the front of the house. Not quite what we had envisioned...thought they would be farther out, leaving a little more of "front yard" (however, that would have needed much more fill dirt and a third retaining wall!) Will definately need the right landscaping to improve this view. Also might need to have some small fencing along top of terrace for safety code. Sidewalk to entry will definately have to curve towards the garage side of the driveway!
View of front porch and door. Porch roof will extend out to end of extending beam. Door has yet to be stained in color.
Looking from the great room "across" what-will-be the eating countertop into the kitchen. Cooktop and cabinets will be the left, island in center, and sink to the right under the windows (not in picture.) Double oven will be in corner on the left across the room, and refrigerator will be on the slightly slanted wall in the back center of the picture.
Looking into kitchen from the dining room area. Dennis and Dan the Builder standing in the great room.
The deck off the dining room and great room, the view from the kitchen windows.

View from the deck to the left of the property. If the lot next to us is ever built upon, that house will have to be set back farther than ours, due the legal easement that runs along the edge of the lake, so hopefully there won't be any major structures to impede this view.

Master bedroom with windows and door. Gas fireplace will be placed on the wall to the right (set into wall so that rear of unit extends out a little onto the screened porch, but will be boxed) and vents to the outside.
The screened porch, picture taken from the small deck. Sidewalls had to be built a little higher than original plans to conform to code and to be more easily screened.
Picture of small deck under construction, taken from "inside" the screened porch. Fantastic view of the lake!

View of main room from standing in the loft (no railings yet!) Workmen walk the ramp to get to the "center of the ceiling" to work on the upper beams!
View of hallway on the upper level that leads to the bedrooms. Bedrooms are on the right, past the end of the loft. [Greg has suggested that we put a small "window" in the wall of the first bedroom, so that kids can have a "secret" place to look down on the adults below in the great room!!]
The corner bedroom, big enough for two queen beds, or a queen and two singles! Double windows have view to the side, single window looks over the lake.
The other upstairs bedroom, with double windows looking towards the lake. Also big enough for more than one queen bed!
