Pieces of the logs lay on the deck as the carpenters work on the back of the house.
The trees are midway through thinning and the view of the lake is clearer.
The slope to the left side of the back yard (our future neighbor's backyard, actually); the slope down to the lake can be clearly seen.
The view of the lake in early November as the trees lose their leaves.

Inside the great room, the central fireplace is beginning to take shape.
Dennis, standing on the deck, surveys the progress of the log siding that is slowly wrapping around the house. Ahead of him are the windows of the kitchen, and to the right are the doors into the dining room.
From the deck, a view of the kitchen windows with the bedroom windows directly above.
Also from the deck, a view of the great room windows and a portion of the lake beyond.

Early November at the lakehouse site. Concrete foundation for front porch has just been poured and is covered with tarp.
Garage floor has also been poured. (There are tiny racoon pawprints in dirt across it!)
Closer view of what will be the front porch. Beam extending out is the center brace for the extended top of the covered porch.
