The dry stacked stone fireplace in the Great Room has been built! The tones of the colors compliment the stains of various woods wonderfully. The mantel is part of a wooden beam that matches the beams across the ceiling.

View of the front foyer and doorway. Wainscoting is awaiting stain, but trims are done. Floor will be slate rectangles in a random pattern.

The lower level family room fireplace is built. The dry stacked stones are lovely warm shades of gray, exactly what Dennis wanted. The mantel is a huge quarter log and will be stained the same color as the beams and trimwork.

The materials in the lower level family room are the rises and supports for the staircases, which must be hand cut and fit together.

View back towards the temporary staircase, with two closets showing. The overhead beams are covered with plastic to protect them from paint when the ceiling is painted.
